I took a look down deep inside
and found the things I'd tried to hide;
some greed, some old hypocrisy;
some selfishness still left in me
I cried "Oh Lord, please, please forgive
and show me daily how to live;"
The Lord, my God He answered me
and opened up my eyes to see.
He whispered softly "Look again
at all the things you hide within;
you'll find some love, a caring heart,
these things you cannot tear apart.
The good in you outweighs the bad
so don't let these things make you sad;
for if you walk with me each day
your hidden sins will fade away.
