This story is about my uncle who passed away 4 weeks ago to this day. It was a very sad occasion for my mom because she was very very close to him. The day he passed away was on a Saturday; we got a phone call from his brother a few hours after he passed away.
We went to see him at the hospital in a little quiet room; there were candles burning beside him. My mom kissed him on the forehead about four times and told him she would meet him in heaven. It was so hard to believe that he was gone she knew by the coldness of his face.
When the mass and the funeral were over 2 days later she went down stairs to make some tea for my older brother and his step dad. My mother and big brother continued talking about my uncle and all the good times they shared together.
They talked for about an hour. It only seemed like 10 minutes she said. She went back up to her bedroom and a candle beside her bed was lighting she put that candle out the night before at 8pm so the candle must of been lit by an angel. She was not in shock; the room felt very peaceful she then prayed for her brother.
Nine days later on the 25th of October she woke up with a song in her ear and it was my uncle's favourite song. She remembered hearing it 30 years ago. We downloaded the song - it is by Rodger Whittker, "The Last Farewell".
We believe there was an angel in the house to comfort us in our very sad loss. I was very close to him as a kid i remembered all the times he would make us laugh and make us happy. He was 1 out of 6 of my moms brothers which are all very close. He was a true saint; he never hurt or argued with anyone. He always said if you cannot say a good word about someone dont say anything at all. So we all know he is safe in heaven and has sent an angel to look over us Thanks for reading |
